Frank Sinatra’s Villa Maggio

During Palm Springs Modernism Week, architecture enthusiasts and movie buffs with both get a treat. Frank Sinatra’s Villa Maggio, named after his character in From Here to Eternity, will be open for tours for the very first time. Also expected to go for sale around the same time, the five-bedroom home was built in 1967 and sits 4,300 up a mountain overlooking Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. Inside, many period-specific details have been restored, ensuring it’s mostly the same as when Sinatra was actually living there, while the 7.5-acre property includes three-bedroom guesthouse, a pool with a pool house and sauna, tennis and basketball courts, and, for the convenience of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ Rat Pack buddies, a lighted helipad.
